Love my Garden, inspired!
If you are a keen gardener and also into tweeting, you may know that David Domoney, garden expert and TV personality, is co-hosting a new TV programme called ‘Love your Garden‘ with Alan Titchmarsh. Other members of the gardening team are Frances Tophill and Katie Rushworth who assist Alan in making dream gardens.
Anglian first worked with David Domoney on the challenging and some would say amazing and thought provoking Naked Garden for the Hampton Court Palace Flower show in 2011. The idea of the garden was to show plants with their pots off and the naked beauty of the plants’ root systems. Since then we have proudly sponsored the Grapevine Theatre at the Hampton Court Flower Show 2012.

Love Your Garden’ offers viewers a unique gardening show which will appeal to both gardeners and non-gardeners alike. On last year’s programme, they showcased some of the best gardens in Britain. However, this year they wanted to take the show one step further and are going to transform ordinary gardens belonging to people across the country. It has been a difficult search with so many worthy people contacting the show to ask for help and advice.
The show started to air on the 26th June on ITV1 at 8pm and was the first of the hour-long shows over the next six weeks. Despite this, the filming for the new series is not quite complete, David still has a few voiceovers left to do.
The gardens that we have seen so far have all looked great, with lots of positive comments from social networking sites, including plenty of praise for everyone involved for their hard work during some awful weather conditions!

With all the continuing wet weather we have been experiencing recently, it has been difficult for anyone to get out and tend to their beloved gardens. They may be looking bedraggled and forlorn, but hopefully this series will inspire us all and drive away any of those garden blues!
If you have any gardening ideas, hints or tricks of the trade that have rained down on you recently….. excuse the pun, why not share them with the blog team?
With the weather forecast set for a mix of sun and rain till the end of the month, we wish you all happy gardening in your flip-flops or wellies!
